Marbled hatchetfish

*This animal is temporarily off exhibit. The name of this fish derives from how the arc of their abdomen gives them a shape resembling the head of a hatchet. They live near the water's surface and sometimes use their large pectoral fins to jump high out of the water to catch flying insects.
