Blueband goby

These fish are distinctive for their eating behaviors. They scoop up sand in their mouth, filter it through their gills, then eat the food they find inside after expelling the sand. They mainly feed upon tiny crustaceans and other organic matter found inside the sand. Their bodies are a milky white, and their heads are a vivid yellow with a lustrous blue band on their cheeks.
