Vermiculated sailfin catfish

*This animal is temporarily off exhibit. These catfish have hard, armor-like scales and sucker-like mouths. They mainly feed on plants but sometimes eat small fish and crustaceans, too. Their pupils change shape according to the brightness of their surroundings, and in bright conditions they resemble the Greek letter "Ω" flipped upside down.
